Visibility & Story Audit

Most owners have never seen what AI tells their customers. Start there.

I run the questions your customers actually ask across ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot and Google, show you what comes back, flag what's wrong, and hand you a ranked plan.
Two weeks. Fixed fee.

How it works

Week 1

A questionnaire filled out by you followed by a 20-minute recorded conversation with me.

Week 2

I analyze what came back and check every claim.

Then

A live working session to walk through it, plus the written plan. It's yours either way.

What you get

What the engines say
Your customers' real questions, run across four engines and reported engine by engine: whether you're named, how you're described, and who gets named instead.
What they get wrong
Every factual error I can find hours, addresses, services, people, locations you've closed.
Where your story lives
Your founder story, your best customer stories, your videos and whether any of it is in a form the machines can actually read.
What could hurt you
Three reputation exposures specific to your business, with what each would cost if it went public.
What to fix first
A ranked plan. Usually it starts with reviews and the directories your customers trust. You can run it yourself, hand it to your team, or hire me.
"In a 10,000-business study, ChatGPT never recommended 40.88% of local businesses on intent-driven queries.

What it isn't

Not an SEO audit.

I won't sell you schema markup as the fix -- the best evidence says it barely matters.

Not a ranking guarantee.

Nobody controls what these engines say. Anyone who promises otherwise is selling something.

The Fee

Fixed fee, quoted on our first call. If you continue with ongoing work, the full audit fee credits toward it.
FAQ

What owners ask me about AI

Straight answers, including the ones that don't sell anything.

How long does it take?

Two weeks from our first conversation.

What do I need to prepare?

Forty-five minutes of your time, and access to your Google Business Profile.

What if I don't want ongoing work?

Then you have a plan your team can run. No pressure and no clawback.

How is Red Dog different from a marketing agency or a fractional CMO?

Agencies sell activity: posts, ads, pages, and campaigns, usually delivered by a team you rarely meet. A fractional CMO runs your entire marketing function. Red Dog does something narrower and deeper: I find out what AI and your customers hear about your business, rank what needs fixing first, and build a system your own team can run. You work with me directly. If you need ad management or a full marketing department, hire an agency or a CMO. If you already have one, I work alongside them.

Is Red Dog an SEO agency?

No. SEO firms help your website rank on Google, and that still matters. But when someone asks ChatGPT or Google's AI for a recommendation, the answer leans heavily on what others say about your business: your reviews, your Google Business Profile, the directories your customers trust, and local press. Technical fixes help AI read your site, but they rarely determine whether you get recommended. I look at the whole picture, including what AI says when someone asks about you by name, and whether it's true.

Why not just use an AI visibility tool?

You might. Several tools now check whether AI mentions your business, and some will write and publish pages for your site. If missing pages are your real problem, a tool may be enough. What software doesn't do is decide which of a dozen problems to fix first, uncover the stories your business has never put into words, or tell you what to say when something goes wrong. If a tool is the right answer, I'll recommend one. I take no commissions on anything I recommend.

I already use review software. Isn't that enough?

Keep it. Those platforms are good at asking for reviews and making them easy to answer. What they don't show you is which directories AI actually draws on in your field, what your reviews add up to when someone asks AI about your business, or where you're falling short compared with the competitors it recommends instead. The audit shows you all three, and what to change first.

How is this different from hiring a PR or crisis firm?

PR firms are built for press coverage and big-company announcements. Crisis firms usually show up after something breaks. I spent 25 years in that world, leading communications at eBay, at HP through the Mark Hurd resignation, and at LinkedIn through its IPO and the $26 billion Microsoft acquisition. Red Dog brings that experience to owner-led businesses before a crisis hits: knowing what's being said about you, fixing what's wrong, and having a plan and someone to call if things go sideways.

Can't my team just do this with ChatGPT?

Some of it, yes, and they should. Asking ChatGPT about your business is a good first look. But asking the right questions across every assistant your customers use, checking each answer against the facts, tracing a wrong answer to its source, and deciding what to fix first is a different job. That's what the audit does. After that, the goal is for your team to run the system, not to depend on me.
Want to see what's out there first?
On a 30-minute call I'll run a few of your customers' questions live, so you can see the problem before you buy anything.
