Red Dog AI Visibility Score

When a customer asks ChatGPT for what you sell, does it say your name?

The Red Dog AI Visibility Score checks your business across the four AI tools your customers already use - ChatGPT, Gemini, Google's AI Overview and Google AI Mode - and tells you, on one page, where you stand.
Before you spend a dollar on being found by AI, find out what it's saying about you now.

Ask an AI tool for the best dentist in San Jose and you don't get ten blue links. You get three names. If yours isn't one of them, you didn't lose the click — you were never in the conversation.

That's already the norm. In a July 2026 study of 10,000 US local businesses, about 4 in 10 were never recommended by ChatGPT when customers asked for exactly what they sell.

And when AI does mention you, it's often wrong: the old address, the founder who retired, the service you stopped offering in 2023. That isn't a marketing problem or a reputation problem. It's both, on the same screen — and it's the first thing a new customer sees.
Your AI visibility, in focus

One page. Four AI tools. No fluff.

The Red Dog AI Visibility Score
Your business. The answers. The next step.
01

Your score, 0 to 10

— and whether that's strong, mixed, weak or nearly invisible.
02

What each of the four AI tools said

— whether they named you, and whether they named you first.
03

The finding that matters most

— in real numbers, with the competitors AI recommended instead of you.
04

What AI gets wrong about you

— every incorrect fact we found, and one thing it got right.
05

One fix to start with. Just one

— the one that moves the needle first.
A starting point. Not a sales pitch

The score is step one. Here's what comes after — if you want it.

The score tells you where you stand. It doesn't tell you why, and it doesn't fix anything. That's deliberate: you should know whether you have a problem before anyone asks you to pay to solve it. Plenty of businesses stop at the score, and that's fine.

How it works

01

Tell us a few things.

Two minutes: your business, your website, and where your customers come from.
02

We ask AI what your customers ask.

Five questions a stranger would actually type, never using your business name — because your customers don't know it yet. Then one more to check what AI says about you.
03

You get your score by email.

Reputation, meet AI

Built for owner-led businesses

The score is designed for owner-led businesses with roughly 10 to 150 people — dental groups, clinics, clubs, firms, family companies — the kind that grew on reputation and word of mouth and now need the machines to repeat it. Local or national, both work: we test local businesses on local questions and national ones against their real competitors.
Experience behind every answer

Why Red Dog Strategies

Hani Durzy spent 25 years shaping what the world said about companies, including eBay, LinkedIn, HP and Realtor.com where he led corporate communications through its IPO and its $26 billion sale to Microsoft. AI search changed who does the saying. The score applies the same judgment to what AI tools now say about your business.

Questions

Straight answers, including the ones that don't sell anything.

Is it really free?

Yes. No credit card, no trial, no catch. You get the PDF either way.

Why not instant?

Because AI tools make things up about businesses, and an automated scan would just repeat them. A person checks every answer against your real website and records before anything goes in your report.

Do you need access to my website or accounts?

No. We look at what any customer — or any AI tool — can see in public. Nothing to install, nothing to log in to.

How is the score calculated?

Four of the ten points come from whether four AI tools recommend you when customers ask. The rest come from the signals those tools rely on: your reviews and map listings (or, for national businesses, independent coverage and review sites), whether others vouch for you, and whether AI can actually read your website. We report verified wrong or outdated facts separately; they do not reduce your visibility score.

My score was low. Is that bad?

It's normal. Most businesses that grew on word of mouth haven't been told the rules changed. A low score is a starting line, not a grade.

How is the score different from the full audit?

The score tells you where you stand, across four AI tools, on one page. The audit tells you why: which sources AI trusts about you, what story it's missing, and what to fix in what order. The score gives you one fix; the audit gives you the whole plan.

What happens after I get it?

Nothing you don't ask for. No drip emails, no sales sequence. If you want to talk through your score, reply to the email it comes in.

Will my score change?

Yes. AI answers shift week to week, so the score is a snapshot of the day we ran it. That's also why it's worth re-checking after you fix things.

How is Red Dog different from a marketing agency or a fractional CMO?

Agencies sell activity: posts, ads, pages, and campaigns, usually delivered by a team you rarely meet. A fractional CMO runs your entire marketing function. Red Dog does something narrower and deeper: I find out what AI and your customers hear about your business, rank what needs fixing first, and build a system your own team can run. You work with me directly. If you need ad management or a full marketing department, hire an agency or a CMO. If you already have one, I work alongside them.

Is Red Dog an SEO agency?

No. SEO firms help your website rank on Google, and that still matters. But when someone asks ChatGPT or Google's AI for a recommendation, the answer leans heavily on what others say about your business: your reviews, your Google Business Profile, the directories your customers trust, and local press. Technical fixes help AI read your site, but they rarely determine whether you get recommended. I look at the whole picture, including what AI says when someone asks about you by name, and whether it's true.

Why not just use an AI visibility tool?

You might. Several tools now check whether AI mentions your business, and some will write and publish pages for your site. If missing pages are your real problem, a tool may be enough. What software doesn't do is decide which of a dozen problems to fix first, uncover the stories your business has never put into words, or tell you what to say when something goes wrong. If a tool is the right answer, I'll recommend one. I take no commissions on anything I recommend.

I already use review software. Isn’t that enough?

Keep it. Those platforms are good at asking for reviews and making them easy to answer. What they don't show you is which directories AI actually draws on in your field, what your reviews add up to when someone asks AI about your business, or where you're falling short compared with the competitors it recommends instead. The audit shows you all three, and what to change first.

How is this different from hiring a PR or crisis firm?

PR firms are built for press coverage and big-company announcements. Crisis firms usually show up after something breaks. I spent 25 years in that world, leading communications at eBay, at HP through the Mark Hurd resignation, and at LinkedIn through its IPO and the $26 billion Microsoft acquisition. Red Dog brings that experience to owner-led businesses before a crisis hits: knowing what's being said about you, fixing what's wrong, and having a plan and someone to call if things go sideways.

Can't my team just do this with ChatGPT?

Some of it, yes, and they should. Asking ChatGPT about your business is a good first look. But asking the right questions across every assistant your customers use, checking each answer against the facts, tracing a wrong answer to its source, and deciding what to fix first is a different job. That's what the audit does. After that, the goal is for your team to run the system, not to depend on me.
